Simpsons Tyres and Autocare – over 30 years experience in supporting Taranaki.

Simpsons Tyres and Autocare has a long history in our local Taranaki community – providing great tyres, great service at the best possible prices.

In fact, we’ve been in business for over 30 years. In that time, we’ve gained a very good understanding of what works in our local New Plymouth conditions. We understand our people, our climate and its conditions.

We’ve been providing tyres for cars, vans, utes, 4×4, light trucks, tractors, harvesters, trailers, ride-on garden mowers and more Taranaki wide.

We’ve been providing specialist maintenance and repairs for all vehicles, onsite support and fleet maintenance for an age now. We work in the city, the countryside and have even been called further afield to offer our expertise.

Being locally owned and operated is a point of pride for owner Bodie and Office Manager Jenna. Both are Taranaki locals whose families share a long history in the region.

Bodie took on the business in 2018 and in that time Simpsons Tyres and Autocare has gone from strength to strength, growing the business, improving services and always trying to offer the best possible prices.

Bodie’s history with the business goes back to 1997, fresh from School and soon to be promoted to Assistant Manager in 2012.

Not ones to sit back and relax and always on the lookout for ways to improve saw some big changes in 2023. Bodie and Jenna were looking for a solution to better aid the local community.

With their shared focus on better products, better services at great prices combined with the need to service both town and country created an interesting opportunity.

After very careful research and respecting the requirements of the Taranaki community, Simpsons Tyres and Autocare aligned themselves with Goodyear.

Not a light undertaking and one that was progressed with all due diligence. After weighing up the benefits to the local community however, it was a decision that was easy to make.
